Unusual, at least I've never seen it done that way. Usually logo in those early models is inlayed. Sometimes just Gibson, sometimes The Gibson. And sometimes including Mastertone inlayed below Gibson. But as all things Gibson, you never know, especially during that transition period.

What number is your banjo? Ours were likely put together by the same folks, same month some 97 years ago. Crazy.

Yep...the same guys would have made them....the installer left his initials in my old neck W.H.....I found an employee list in Spanns book....Walter Howell was an assembler in 1925...it is crazy and good history....
