can someone help me my 5th sting on my banjo got a buzz or a ring to it it is tuned but its still there anyone know why? please help

	Red Squirrel says: 10/10/2014 11:50:24 AM On a fretless it can be only two things, the railroad spike (nut) or the bridge. These are both pretty simple fixes. If you take it to a local music shop or luthier they can find out what it is exactly and fix it for just a couple of bucks.
	guywolff says: 10/13/2014 7:00:21 AM The string and the two spots it touches are the only places to fix (unless you have a spike touching the string as said above).. Changing the string is the first thing to try .. THe groove the string runs through on the bridge and the nut near the peg need to be free and clean and keep the string free to sound.. Filing those grooves are the job but again should be filed by a person who knows his business .. (The angle is important) .. All the best , Guy
