I had the opportunity to see the Larry Stephenson band this past weekend, and to see Kenny Ingram in person with his Burlile banjo. I have heard one or two banjos in person that have the ring (I have a Williams with the ring), while they all sound absolutely fantastic, seeing a full fledged Burlile banjo (played by Kenny Ingram) was a REAL treat. It was the loudest banjo I have ever seen in person. Every person in the banjo was exceptional, but Kenny seems to cut through all of them. I know the picker has a lot to do with it, but I have think there is something special about that banjo...

	jswkingsfield says: 4/4/2016 4:08:21 PM Michael! -- Can you elaborate on what you mean by "a full fledged Burlile banjo"? Is it the Williams Kenny Ingram model, or is it the banjo that Jim Burlile has been developing for a few years, like the prototype Patrick Sauber has been playing recently?
	mhammer says: 4/4/2016 8:52:00 PM It's a banjo that Jim built for Kenny several years ago from what I am told. Kenny had used a ring in his banjo before that, but the banjo he is using now is 100% Jim Burlile. It's really something special.

	Pickin furry paws says: 4/21/2016 1:14:38 PM The banjo was built in October 2011 as a replica of Earl's 60s Granada config. All parts except strings and heads are manufactured by Jim. Both my banjo and Kenny's were worked on at the same time, tone-rings are from the same batch, the first Burlile banjo pour.
