Hi all,

I hope this group is still active. I am completely bitten by the Celtic 5-string bug. I have been dunking through both Tom Hanway and Ian MachLachlan's excellent books on the subject, but I was wondering if anyone had other resources they would recommend. I'm genuinely interested in music theory as well, but I have not found many resources on theory related to traditional Irish music. Again, any recommendations would be appreciated.

	g3zdm says: 8/25/2021 11:23:48 AM I'm afraid I already have the theory, learnt over many decades + a recent (online) diploma from a Scottish University. I leant most by attending actual sessions and joining a local beginners ceilidh band here in Manchester. Since last March, with the coronavirus situation, I have been playing live using Jamkazam last year and Sonobus since December 2020. I play with LITMA (Long Island Trad Music Association which is a contra-dance band) but there are other Irish / Celtic sessions going on both using Jamkazam and Sonobus. These are peer to peer connections so your upload internet speed is as important as your download speed (I am use a 200 Mpbs down/ 20 Mbps up connection).
