In a mandolin lesson today, Al noted that I tend to keep my hand too near the bridge.

Al: "Watch your hand, you're beginning to sound like Ralph Stanley on the banjo!"

Me: "Some people would take that as a compliment".

Al: "Not when you are playing the mandolin!"

	vicpuch says: 2/28/2014 2:30:09 PM Last week during my lesson Al and I were talking about back-up and how most folks really don't pay a great deal of attention to what is actually going on there. When I commented on how spectacular Earl was at it Al said...."yes his back-up is insidiously genius!" Huh?
