I got an email the other from a mandolin student of Al. His name is Dusty and he lives in Orlando. Al told him to contact me because we play a lot of the same songs. So I got his number and gave him a call. We're about the same age and he likes to smoke meat.

We're going to try to get together, maybe next weekend, and do some picking. Dusty also knows a man and wife bass player and guitar / banjo player who also want to jam. He plays bass and she plays banjo and guitar.

	MoPac fan says: 1/19/2014 9:18:38 AM Dusty is like me, at a point to where we really need to jam with others. And like me, he finds the big circle jams to not be what he's looking for, but rather a group of pickers that can get together, get in a groove and have a good time, playing music. I like the big jams, and I love the interaction with people. I'm a people person. LOL. This is going to be great because we are working on the same songs and being coached by the same coach. Those big jams can be a big cliquish to. Dusty said he went to the big jam we up here in Central Florida at Cassia and he found a bunch of cliques or people that wanted to play country but not bluegrass.
