After much anticipation and planning, I got the official word from our Vallrico Bluegrass host with the most! Lou (loukiii) is having THE pickin event of the new year! This will be a special edition of his now legendary Thursday nite Bluegrass Jam. Here's the details:

	G says: 1/3/2014 7:52:49 AM Last night here in St. John's Newfoundland we had our coldest temp since 1947 (-1.1F). Water pipes burst at my in-laws house where we are currently staying. I have snow piled 4 or 5 feet high alongside my walkway, and we are expecting a blizzard today: winds of 50mph, temps like last night, with "wind chill" of about minus 14F, and a further 14 inches of snowfall. Oh, and periodic rotating power outages to ease the load on the the electrical grid. So, even with $600 airfare and everything else, this event sounds very tempting ! Seriously ... wish I could join you :) Have a great time.

	loukiii says: 1/8/2014 5:30:16 PM Dang if Kirk doesnt show, it probably wont be much of a party... But We'll just have to make due without him. It's a cross I must bear. Picked up Pork Butts and Chicken Wings and fixins for my special appetizer today at the grocery store. Since when did wings become the most expensive part of the chicken? lol So far I have 26 RSVP's for the party on Saturday, probably 2/3rd are pickers the rest are wives and hostages.
