We fell in love with the Blue Ridge in North Carolina. Spent the night in the Mount Pisgah Inn right on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The in was at 5,000 feet overlooking Black Mountain and Looking Glass Mountain. It was so cool. The end of October and we had a room with a fireplace.

I didn't have my banjo. We were coming back to FL from Charlotte and I took a detour up to Boone and picked up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Peak Fall color, it was spectacular. I just wish we had more time. We had to do the Chevy Chase "Vacation" tour.

And if you think the Blue Ridge Parkway is like an interstate highway, it's not. Hairpin turns, 45 mile per hour speed limit and scenic overlooks every 1/8 mile on the left and the right and you want to pull over and take a photo every one because the scenery is so gorgeous.

Ver cool Randy. We also really love the BRPwy. That place cries out for a banjo!
