US Bound

I'm on my way to the homeplace, Kentucky that is!  Leaving in a couple of hours with my family on vacation.  We will spend a few days in Lexington, then to Gatlinburg for a few, and then finish in Washington D.C.  Hope to hear some bluegrass while there, and I am taking my Tranjo!

You might as well take a right turn in KY and come to Florida. It's only a couple of inches on the Atlas.

Enjoy your trip. I love to go back home to Missouri, even though my family are gone now and the old home place has been sold, I still like to wax nostalgic and go.

I would like to go to Lexington KY sometime and go to the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Show.

Be safe.

If you bump into J.D. in Ky, tell him he never should have left the Sunny Mtn boys.
Other than that, have a great time and safe journey.

Will you be in the DC area on July 12? If so and want to go to a jam, I attend a large bluegrass jam in the Baltimore area that meets every month. A welcoming group you would enjoy. All levels. Let me know.

Alas Roger, that's the day we leave! Thanks all for the good wishes. Finally landed in Lexington at 2:00 a.m. This morning after nine hours of delay at O'Hare, making a total of 28 hours to get here. I'd love to go to a Woodsongs show myself.

You could have rented a car and driven from chicago in less time than that. Detoured a little bit and we could have had a pick. Glad you made it safely and enjoy your trip.
