my first gig. It weren't pretty, but it was a lot of fun! Got some video but it isn't very good. I'll post it soon.

Yeah we had to set up inside and tapped into the house speakers. It was almost like playing at a jam because I didn't know about half the songs lol. I was told I faked it pretty good though.

We made $25 in tips plus our regular pay which wasn't too bad considering the small size of the crowd due to the weather.

Yeah but some of the camera angles were a little wierd. I tried to edit them but apparently my software rotates all or nothing so I just had to leave it.
That was kind of towards the middle of the set after I had calmed down somewhat lol. But it was the first one that really featured me on the banjo and that kind of got the butterflies goin again. I wasnt really nervous so much as overexcited I think. And of course there are a lot more distractions and when i make a mistake I just want to become invisible but have to keep on chuggin along hoping nobody noticed.
Nobody threw any rotten tomatoes or chewed up rib bones at me so I guess it was ok. Oh and the $25 tip was split 5 ways so I'm not too worried about the IRS. After expenses to get to the venue, beer, dinner for the family etc, it only ended up COSTING ME about $40 lol.

Hahaha....it ended up costing you money! Welcome to the world of the road musician. But you had fun and they looked like a group that would be fun to jam and perform with. They make you feel comfortable.

You sounded pretty good Lou. Honestly. I know the material and the trouble spots and you didn't crash and burn on that high break. Nobody in the audience heard the glitches.

Wow ... thanks for posting that ! That looked like a lot of fun. If that were me performing, I'd definitely call it a success.

I passed on the free beer, but I did get a cow and pig burger and some onion rings.
The burger was awesome. Cround pork and beef patty topped with pulled pork, bacon and cheese, lettuce onion and tomato mustard ketchup and mayo. A decadent meaty mess. I was so nervous I couldnt hardly eat though.
