Just finished my lesson with Al, who informed me that his parrot, Curly, whom he's had for 32 years died this past week. It's always tough to lose a pet, but it's especially hard when it's been a part of your life for that long. Al, the whole group joins in sending our heartfelt condolences.

	MoPac fan says: 4/15/2013 5:45:46 PM Al told me last Monday when I was at his house for my lesson. When I first met Curly, I didn't realize Al had a bird. I was playing and going over the songs I was working on and I kept hearing this raucous laughing coming from the other room. I told Al I was getting self conscious. He told me it was a parrot. 32 years. Wow!
	G says: 4/15/2013 5:49:02 PM Aww ... that IS sad. Growing up, I didn't have many pets, but my wife & I got a cat just before my son was born (over 25 years ago). She died after 18 years (the cat - not my wife), and I was devastated. Before that, I don't think I understood how attached one can get to a pet. As you said, 32 years probably puts it on a whole other level. Sorry to hear that.

	MoPac fan says: 4/16/2013 6:09:44 AM Curly could sound just like a baby crying. I asked Al if he had a baby around the house and he told me Curly started doing it when Neil was a baby. Neil is Al's son and is probably 21 or 22 years old. Curly was named after Curly on the three stooges and he would say, "Ohhhhhhhhh.....a wise guy." Cracked me up.
