As most of you are probably aware, frailin aka Craig of this hangout has been travelling the length and breath of the USA and Canada interviewing small shop open back banjo builders for his excellent American banjo builders series. There are thoughts, mainly from me that he should extend this to cover the uk And Europe which has some real craftsmen also. I know of Griffin banjos, Dave stacey, and phil davidson in the uk who build exquisite banjos but are there others. I need you help and suggestions of open back 5 string builders in the uk ....... And Europe if you know of any. Just list them on here with a website if they have one, although I know griffin and dave Stacey don't. Maybe it's a uk thing, but our builders don't seem to publicise themselves very well. Anyone know of any Irish builders of 5 string banjos? Cheers for your help2 Comments | |
