antique shop banjo

From Rbuhrman on 5/29/2013 9:00:37 AM

Went to an antique shop in Maryland this past weekend, they had a banjo for sale for $150....they claimed that it was made in Russian-controlled East Germany, and there was a "rubber stamp" mark that said that was so, stamped on the inside of the head.  It was a poorly painted head on an open-back pot, it did not have an indication that it was a brand name of any sort.....it had one rod inside the pot and did not look like there was a neck rod.  Looked like it was made at someone's home, but, believe it or not, it had a hard case with it!

For $150, with hard case, you may well have done allright. Any pictures?
