I just fell into an on line deal I couldn't pass up for a Gold Epiphone MB-350. Anyone own one of these? What is your opinion of this banjo? I mostly bought it to practice on to spare my more expensive banjo but from what I can tell it is supposed to be a pretty sweet instrument for the price. Any setup suggestions appreciated!

Is there something different about the tone ring that makes it so heavy, do you think? I have owned a MB-250 before and it seemed to weigh in about the same as most tone ring banjos. Do you know if there is a different ring in the MB-350?

	LGriff6250 says: 5/28/2013 2:01:55 PM I don't know what model Epi I have, it's over 40 years old and quite heavy. I had First Quality Musical Supplies in Louisville set it up for me, they did a GREAT job. I think my Gibson Scruggs model is slightly heavier.
