Hi, My name is Mike and I live out in California where Bluegrass is not a household name. I joined this group because I hope to be the proud owner of an MB250 in a few days as it is in transit from Massachusetts. I hope the Jo is in good shape. The pic on Guitar Center looked good but I have to inspect it with a fine tooth comb. All the reviews I have read about this girl are great. I have been shopping for a new 'Jo for quite some time after suffering with my Gold Tone CC100R for the past few years. Not a bad banjo but nothing like the MB250. I hope to become a regular contributor to this group. I have a small band with a guitar picker and an awesome bassist. We are finishing up a five song demo and want to get our sound out here in the Sacramento area. I have a Facebook page for the band and will post some links to videos and sound tracks in the near future. I have also begun developing a new 5th string capo I believe will be a hit once I develop a prototype and determine if it works. It doesn't require any drilling or intrusion in the neck and is pretty simple in it's form. Well, that's all. Glad to be a part of the community!

	TheGil says: 4/29/2012 4:19:06 AM Vapor and CreekRunner, I have been running my MB250 through the paces since I got her back from the luthier with a raised bridge (about 11/16th now) and a raised 5th fret nut. It is clear that my girl is "breaking in" and really starting to sound great. Just jammed with my bandmates a few days ago and the mic couldn't handle the tolerance of the sound which makes me realize she is LOUD, but in a good way. Play is smooth and up the neck sounds good. I think she is every bit a pro sounding banjo with a lot of heart and soul. I'll keep y'all updated and hopefully post some sound tracks on this site soon! Peace, Mike
