I'd noticed over the years the the finish on the back of resonator on my 2007 Tenbrooks Legacy was starting to "bubble", even though the finish felt smooth. It wasn't buckle rash. I took a photo and sent it to Carolina, and she instructed me to send it back for a refinish under warranty! It only cost me shipping. They did a fantastic job and I had it back in about 6 weeks. In fact, I like the new finish better, as it shows the beautiful mahogany grain structure better than the original, which was quite dark. This is the first time I've needed to use the warranty on any of my Deering banjos. Thanks to Deering for everything!

They are having a sale on accessories, so I had them add some new strings to the box. This is the first time I've tried the new Tenbrooks string set, and I really like it. I had been previously using a 9.5 or 10 on the outside strings and 11, 12, 20 on the other three. This set really sounds better on this banjo.

I know I'm preaching to the choir in this group, but I HIGHLY recommend Deerings.

I called Deering, also spoke to Carolina, sent pix and will now send the resonator for the same treatment. Deering and Carolina are just great to work with. Can't wait to see the refinish!
