Hi All,

The Deering website says that both these jo's are designed to resemble the prewars. The specs are quite close. They are pretty much the same price in the UK too. Can anybody tell me what are the noticeable differences are between them please?

I am nowhere near a shop so will have to travel to try them out - which I will do. But it would be great to have some opinions from you up front to give me something to think about and listen to them when i eventually try them out...

I own a Golden Era, and have played the Wreath, and I honestly can't say there is a huge difference in tone: it's mahogany vs. maple. You might also want to check out the deering you tube page: Jens Kruger does a great review of the Wreath. After watching it, I wanted to trade mine in!!! This is just my opinion, but the Golden Era with the 06 tone ring sound identical to the Tenbrooks Saratoga Star with the 06 ring, and can be had for way less. Good luck.

Mind you, whatever Kruger plays it is going to sound amazing. Listen to his Hartford review. Wow!

	Vapor says: 7/6/2015 1:31:31 PM I have the Wreath, I have played them both, and they are very close in sound. Try what you can, and buy what you fall in love with. I absolutely love my Wreath, but the Era's are pretty sweet as well.
	camlan says: 7/21/2015 2:53:41 PM The Terry Baucom in Walnut is also a contender and a very nice sounding banjo. Some say in-between the two. I would try it too. All share the deep resonator and the flange plus cosmetics are slightly different. I see a road trip in your future...
