When I say I am new...I really mean it. Never played banjo before. After years of loving the sound and the music, and after about a year of lurking on BHO, I have pulled the trigger.

My new Eagle II is bought and paid for. Now I am just waiting for delivery. Word has it, I should have her in hand mid - late February. Just waiting for the factory to get er done.

FUN FUN days ahead !!

	tcpurvis says: 2/6/2015 12:35:13 PM I would also suggest an instructor and if there are others in the house, a mute. Fits over the bridge and kills the vibrations to the head. I can ask my wife where she bought it, if needed.

	ohirider says: 3/7/2015 8:41:09 PM I just purchased a used Goodtime 2 and waiting for delivery. Also ordered a Mike's mute after my wife heard the demo on the website. I started lessons a couple of years ago while working in Prescott AZ but was unable to continue when I got home - finally able to start again. I can't find an instructor in North San Diego County and when I called the Deering Factory they couldn't refer one. Any advice with on-line lessons or an instructor in my area will be very appreciated.
	starhopper says: 6/11/2015 12:12:30 PM I would DEFINITELY recommend the "Murphy Method" DVDs - they helped me much more than the local instructor!
