I am playing around with bridges, trying to get a bassier sound without tuning down. Curious what bridges people are using that might help me out?

	8thpol says: 12/9/2014 11:25:46 AM I use a Purcell 5/8 Ambrosia Red Maple bridge with heavy strings American Made banjo Co 11,13,16 24w 11 the combo might be brighter than you seek but pulls good clean heavy bass

	camlan says: 12/12/2014 3:57:01 PM I am using the Sosebee on my Baucom model and love the tone! It is super rich and mellow like you say. I am currently using a heavy version of the Snuffy Smith on the Hartford and it has made the banjo bassier with more solid mid tones. I can't try the Sosobee on the Hartford because of the height difference of the bridge. I guess it would sound woodier or darker than the Snuffy Smith though. The stock bridge on the Hartford makes it sound too thin IMHO.
