Do any of you Hartford owners out there have any tips for banjo set-up. I am getting it set up at 12thFret in Toronto, but wonder about the bridge and string options you might have tried.

	banjori says: 6/19/2014 9:30:47 AM I bought my Hartford new from the 12th Fret about five years ago. I spent many hours there playing and comparing every high end banjo in stock and the Hartford came out the winner. It's really fantastic. I have mine set up with a Nechville Enterprise bridge, which they stock at the 12th Fret. Some people search endlessly for the right bridge, but when I swapped out the Deering for the Nechville I knew right away it was the sound I was looking for. I have Medium/Light (10-22) stings from Newtone, which they also stock at the 12th Fret. Newtone strings are a noticeable step up from GHS and although they cost twice as much, are well worth it to my ears. Enjoy!

	camlan says: 6/19/2014 9:55:50 AM Did the Neckville bridge make it brighter or darker tone from the standard Deering bridge? I will play it first stock when I get it, but just wondering which way you took the sound?
	banjori says: 6/19/2014 10:06:13 AM Probably a richer tone, but I can't remember too well now. It's got plenty of brightness, but it may have darkened it a bit.

	camlan says: 7/18/2014 10:26:08 AM Just went with GHS Sonny Osborne strings for bass and volume and have kept stock bridge for a bit of brightness. I am not tuning down but still want to do something to bring 4rd and 3rd string growl up a bit. Any ideas?
	snapjackson says: 10/2/2014 12:30:04 PM A slightly heavier bridge might bring a little more growl and depth to the heavier strings. I also have a Nechville Enterprise bridge on my Deering (Calico).
