07 Sierra

From pickn5 on 3/13/2013 9:10:59 AM

I started playing my new to me 07 Sierra yesterday. Wow, what a huge step up from my old Hondo. With the Hondo I was having trouble getting the F shape D chord at the 2nd fret and really had to push hard on the strings up and down the neck. With the Sierra all those problems went away. I got the cord easily, fretting the strings was easy and this Sierra stays in tune up and down the neck. My slides went easier also. I love the sweet sound of my new banjo and practicing is more of a pleasure. I'm a happy picker now!

I love mine. I did notice the neck was wider than my old banjo. The string a bit more spread. I like this. Have fun. Todd

I just bought a 2006 Sierra in mint condition. It's the last banjo I ever expect to buy. I had a Price straight line tailpiece on my previous banjo. Is there any need to change the Deering tailpiece on my Sierra for a Price straight line?

Deering Trutone tailpiece is as good as you will find, don't change a thing (except the strings every couple of months)
