Just found the Banjo Highway capo and it looks like a great idea but the price seems high. I didn't want to put spikes or drill into the neck of my Deering Calico so have been using the Regan capo with great success. The only problem I have is people coming up and asking what the heck that thing is bouncing around when I am using frailing rather than 2 or three finger picking. Also, in some performance settings on stage it can be a little hard to line up the slot in the capo with the string in dark lighting, and especially if I'm not wearing my reading glasses. I use blue chip picks (on guitar) and Thomastik strings (guitar and banjo) so I'm not adverse to spending money to get good sound, but for just over $10 the Regan gives me great sound. Banjo Highway touts theirs as having great sustain but when playing fast the sustain is in the banjo, not the string and it's the string's initial attack sonic structure that matters. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has compared the Regan to this new capo design and think that the sound difference warrants the much higher price?
