Hi everyone!
I just joined the group today and figured I'd let you know the model I play and why ... I purchased a Goodtime Open Back banjo in mid-December and I've been playing it every day since I got it. It sounds really great and I could not be happier with it for the money.
I went with the original open back Goodtime instead of a Goodtime II or a Special because I wanted to have a good, low cost banjo to learn on. I like the fact that you can retro-fit a resonator if needed but I didn't think I needed to spend the extra money when I am first starting out.
Either way, I love my Deering Goodtime!!
