5TH Peg replacement screw - help wanted

From USARMYLINEMAN on 3/3/2012 3:37:33 AM

I have a Deering Good Time Grand Ole Opry limited edition banjo purchased from Eagle Music in UK. Unfortunately the chrome screw from the end of the factory installed 5th peg has been lost. Ive emailed Eagle music and spoken to them- the UK master dealer, and also emailed Deering in the USA in an effort to locate an exact replacement screw.

Despite making great banjos- the customer support is poor to say the least- not a single response form either organization.

In an effort to get a replacement I bought a new peg from ebay which was listed as being factory Deering peg- Unfortunately you guessed it- the screw is too short.

Anyone out there know what the exact model of 5th peg fitted at factory to these banjos is- are they all the same, and if so where can I get a replacement part?

 UPDATE-

Goods News - Eagle Music responded to me after seeing this post. Ive been able to get a replacement part from them and all is now fixed. Shame it took a 300 mile round trip and numerous emails to try and sort out such a simple customer service request. Thanks to Steve at Eagle for sourcing the spare in the first place. Still haven't received any response direct from USA though.

I've contacted Deering many times, they have always answered me.
Sometimes it may take a few days, however they do answer.
If you havent done this use the link on their web site.

Yeah, I'm surprised you haven't heard anything directly from Deering. Don't give up.

Deering has always answered my questions and been very helpful. I expect Caroline will get back to you soon. She runs the customer service dept., among other duties.

Hi
I have dealt with Eagle Music many times and their service is usually faultless, I know the owner Steve will not be happy that you are dissatisfied, drop him an email
