I got a Deering john hartford a couple months ago, It has the grenadillo tone ring.

I have been working on the set up and reallt the GS custom bridge the GHs light heavy strings and the head tuned to about a G.

	rdawsoniii says: 8/31/2011 5:30:27 PM One more question.....how is the neck? For example, the next is so smooth on my Goodtime and I find myself playing it as much if not more than my Kyle Smith Legend. Is the Harford neck "smooth" like the Goodtime?
	dcb says: 8/31/2011 8:36:04 PM Hi, The neck is smooth. it looks like a tiger maple finish. The neck is a bit more beefer than the Gibson bowtie I have. There were some comments about the banjo not being loud enough to hold its own in a jam but I dont see it being an issue. It has to be the setup. I played with a guy a couple weeks ago and he made the same comment, but after the jam he complained that I played too loud, I think I changed his mind. Dave
	rdawsoniii says: 9/1/2011 5:15:52 AM Thanks for the info! I'm not too worried about jam situations...we have a little "family band" that likes to pick once in awhile and there really aren't any jams where I live, so no problem there.
