I play a Terry Baucom model I purchased from letthegoodtimesroll here at BHO. I got the baucom about 6 months ago. I just love that banjo - I have it on a hanger about three feet from my hands in my office and I play anytime I have 5 or ten free minutes. The baucom is light as a feather compared to my Fender FB-58

Changed only original bridge to Dave's (lazyarcher from BHO) Beaver 2,4 grams;5/8 ,Crow spacing,the head is on A# .Light strings D Addario on; I am quiet satisfied with the tone,volume and playability .Sure I will search on ; maybe some lighter bridge (Scorpio 2.0 grams will make it brighter) Mine is some heavier due to installed Fisman Rare Earth pick up ; I play it with Acri picks . I think of a thorough inspection on tone ring fitting to wooden rim ; It got to be on a loose side somewhat; to give this banjo enough space to breath at its great potetial.

I play with banded pro-piks .020's as they don't cut into my fat cuticles as bad as single bands. I too want to try a scorpion bridge but the TB spacing is special and must be ordered according to JDMC.
