Upgraded to a Vega No2 from my Little Wonder yesterday, what a beautiful instrument! I may never be a virtuoso player but the pleasure of making music and pride of ownership of such a lovely thing is a divine experience.

The authenticity and integrity of a Deering is something I feel cannot be enjoyed with anything other than an genuine American instrument. Far Eastern may look similar, sound similar, feel similar but just like a mickey mouse Rolex it will never be the real thing.

Greg & Janet please never be tempted to add a few more dollars on the bottom line by abandoning the principle of integrity of making an authentic, no compromise, genuine US article and sourcing from the Far East.

Authentic US or UK made products are becoming endangered species, and like Tigers and Polar Bears once their gone they are gone forever, not even the Chinese can start making them again!

As always the enthusiasm and service of Eagle Music in Huddersfield gives the reassurance of a firm sincerely interested in their customers needs. A pleasure to deal with !

jogibas says: 9/8/2012 1:48:00 AM Hi. Firstly I only have fond memories of the Little Wonder, it is a real gem, and probably prompted me to buy the No2, I just wanted more of a good thing! How do you put sound into words when they relate to two senses, the No2 is , louder, the action lower which is my preference, more bass "controlled" without sacrificing mid range. There are so many variables with the banjo, so many personal preferences, the only fair assessment is got to your music store and try them head to head, don;t expect vast differences but sometimes 10% can enhance enjoyment by 100%, it's down to the individual. If you can resist anythiung other than temptation leave your wallet at home!
