2010 John Hartford model

From NickC on 1/28/2011 3:38:02 AM

I love the riverboat inlay, the rich tone and light weight of this banjo. The neck is very smooth and playable too. It's a big jump up from my RK80 and I felt my playing really improved when i got it. The wooden tone ring in this banjo is supposed to 'play in' with age like a violin. I look forward to growing old with this banjo. The fact that it was designed by John Hartford - one of my favourite banjo players - inspires me to play it every day.

Although I played a Dering Golden Wreath last weekend and think it's cool Gibson like tone would be make a great  second banjo. Better start saving!
