Hi. I'm relatively new to BHO. I've been playing at playing clawhammer banjo for quite some time. I'm probably not very good. I do not read standard music notation. I struggle a bit with tab.

Gospel tunes seem to come more easily to me than any other style of music.

So, I thought I'd hang with you all.

Live in Alabama. Don't handle snakes.

	PickaFive says: 8/4/2014 10:20:34 PM Welcome to BHO! I love bluegrass gospel music and haven't made the grade on clawhammer. So if it's any comfort, you are probably already ahead of me. I may try handling snakes. I need to find one that is pretty understanding and tolerant. Also non-poisonous would be good! Keep trying and have fun. PickaFive

It could be a more active group I guess but that depends on the people and their participation. I know there is a lot going on which most is bad and misdirected but a little more gospel music may be what is needed. I too do not participate in Facebook, Twitter or any of the social political platforms of the left wing so I cancelled all my accounts with them. Trying to get back into banjo playing after a long rest of many years. Clawhammer always seemed the easiest and most enjoyable for me especially after hearing Dwight Diller. Just an amazing player and more. I hope my speed picks up so that I too can contribute some good gospel tunes to the group. Hot and dry here in New Mexico so it is a good time to stay in the shade and pluck on the old banjo. Have a great day everyone.
