..and now I'm getting one! It should arrive in a week or two, I can't wait. A second hand Lonestar with tubaphone tonering.??? Don't know if Chuck made them with that ring or it's an add on by the previous owner? Anyway I'll let you know how it sounds when it lands.

	BanjarTater says: 11/11/2020 9:40:17 AM Cuz, congratulations! A Lone Star with tubaphone would not be "standard" but Chuck is famous for mixing features from different models. So it could be Lone Star (integral wood rim) with added tubaphone. Or it could be a Marble Falls (tubaphone) with the Lone Star headstock. If you know the serial number, you can call or email Chuck and he'll tell what he knows/remembers. Anyway, happy frailin'!

	cuz says: 11/27/2020 9:20:50 AM Hello all. The Lonestar arrived last week and what can I say..ecstatic!! The best banjo move of my life, over the moon. It's got a maple pot and neck, plated tubaphone tonering(wow) and a cherry Kelly Emerson power bridge. I'll run some of my bridges through but can't fault the sound as is. Talking of sound and comfort of play, everything they say about Chuck's legendary banjos is true, incredible. The matching number on pot and dowel is 385. I'm guessing fairly early but you'd never tell by the pristine condition. Now that I'm totally spoilt I need to sell my other two banjos to trade in for a Lee 11" tuba' for quick key change with the band. Thrilled to be a part of the group.
