This was given to me in the 70's but I only just dug it out of storage to see if I could bring it back to playable condition now I'm retired. Photos are loaded to my photo album and I'll link them here to see if anyone can help identify it.

	jcarey says: 12/26/2016 9:36:16 AM I have received a number of responses that seem to confirm this example was likely made by Buckbee but was possibly private labeled for J.F. Stratton as their Elite brand.
	TriMD180 says: 10/14/2018 9:27:04 AM I have a banjo that has the exact same four top inlays, but instead of Elite, mine has a crown inlay. Yours looks to be in great shape I hope you got it playable with little effort and are now enjoying it!
	TriMD180 says: 10/14/2018 9:32:35 AM I hope you have changed over to Nygut strings, as the steel strings are not supposed to be good for these old banjos that were designed for gut strings and the higher tension steel can eventually cause damage.
	jcarey says: 10/14/2018 12:24:18 PM TriMD180- Thanks I have ordered a set of Nygut strings but I didn't get around to stringing it up yet. So no it's not playable just yet. My pegs slip a lot too, so I am wondering about some tuner peg grease or something like chalk that will let them move smoothly and not slip. Any ideas?
