Hi, I have the buckbee "Apollo" version of the Victor with Apollo inlaid in the heel. Some questions: Should this banjo have metal pegs or celluloid? Would grover champions be appropriate? Would nylgut strings be most appropriate for this banjo? I assume that at the time it was made metal banjo strings were still not the norm. Any info on these appreciated. I will try to upload pics. Mine was sold from Georgia. I see that this and bijou banjos were the models made for resale by John Franklin Stratton also in New York. But the book Chauncey Richmond and the old Buckbee list the Franklin model names as Adonis and Bijou. I still wonder if the Apollo is linked to the Yale banjo clubs of that name.
