About a year ago I purchased a pretty beaten up circa 1925 banjolin on Ebay for $60 and took it to pieces for, refurbishing. It took about 3 months work to get it in shape again which included replacing all the hooks and fixing a broken tension ring. Being a ukulele player, I converted it to a GCEA tuned banjo uke with Worth fluorocarbon strings on it. The wood is all bird's eye maple and when completed it came up beautifully. I now play it in my Ukulele Group and the sound is very mellow and loud.

	Mercymando says: 6/22/2015 12:48:09 PM That is awesome! I recently purchased a Lange "Langstile" what appearse to be a tenor banjolele, but string it dGBE (high d, using the 2nd (E), tenor string. I also perfer it "open back." Glad your purchase worked out, is it open back, how are you tuning it, are you using a wound 3rd string?
	NOTLguy says: 6/22/2015 2:13:39 PM It has the original bird's eye maple resonator on the back which hightens the volume. I tune it GCEA like a ukulele. The Worth strings are fluorocarbon and do not have any windings as the G is tuned "high G". Would love to see a pic of your instrument. Regards, Bill
