I have finally jumped off the end of the dock and ordered a Little Gem Diamond. I have been looking at them for years and She says they are 'cute'. Anyway it's on it's way. So I am thinking if it is possible to tune it like a banjo. I am planning on a cross country train trip later in the year and thinking that I could practice banjo chords and would not have to learn new chord shapes.
Standard Uke tuning is gCEA.
Banjo open G Tuning: gDGBD
I have found out that there are 2 4th string sizes. HI G and Low G.
Have any of you done this and what string sizes did you use?
