How fast can you play. how do you know?

I  am learning to play Train 45 and Foggy mountain Break Down. I am Getting Faster at 126 bps. I am told. How do they know? is their a measuring tape? this is played at 200 I think

If you are getting the tab from this site and it is in TablEdit format, you can check the bpm in the midi options. On one of the tabs on this site Train 45 is at 300 bpm. And on Foggy Mountain one tab has it at 200 bpm.

I am working on getting my first tune up to speed - I'm thinking practice, practice, practice.....
