BHO member just sent me a link to an LA Craigslist listing for a Gariepy Type #1 for $399 OBO. It looks really clean. I haven't figured out how to post the link here, but if you're interested, you can message me and I'll get it to you. I'd buy it myself, if I had the cash.

You might offer less than $399 (say, $350 + shipping) to help absorb some of the shipping cost (they did say "or best offer"). It's what I'd do if I had the spare $400 and it never hurts to ask.
