Yup, the time is rapidly approaching when I take all my banjos apart. Make adjustments, clean all the gunk(Mostly dog hair and spider webs out from around the tension hoop and head. wash the head( except the hide heads!) polish and wax the wood parts, including the fretboard, yes I do, because it is so darned dry here that they do need to be treated, and protected. New strings and all.
For the aluminum rim, I am thinking of a new compensated bridge, and trying out some nygut strings on it. Heresy!
