I have a cheap rogue aluminum pot banjo that I take with me when I go camping or travel, I don't have to worry much if that one gets damaged while traveling or around a campfire

The heat in the summertime is not kind to a wood rim, nor is the low humidity, or the high humidity in the monsoon season. Of course, if you leave it, or are playing it in the sun, you could burn yourself on it. Brand your belly with your banjo!
