I am considering building a long neck with a Saga rim using Rudy's through neck design for the neck.
Does anyone know if the old ODE aluminum rims were flat heads or arch tops. I know that I can't get the same sounds that Chuck Ogsbury got out of his custom cast rims but thinking that it will make a good indestructible travel banjo with a neck that I like. I have an old Silvertone long neck with a bakelite rim that has a really narrow neck.
Thanks for any help.
