1983 OME Juggernaut tenor maple banjo. 19 fret neck, currently set up for celtic playing. OME Silver Spun tone ring with great tone. Immaculate banjo, virtually no play or fret wear anywhere except for the tiniest amount on the second and third fret tops. Curly maple neck, rim and resonator, engraved nickel plated tension hoop, flange, armrest, and tailpiece. OME bound figured maple rim outside and in! My father Glenn purchased this banjo from a friend who was the original owner.
My father has worked with OME banjos as a custom pearl engraver for years, and is the designer (along with OME founder Chuck Ogsbury) of the limited OME Omega banjos which feature intricate hand engraved pearl inlays by my dad. He spoke with Tanya Ogsbury and if you wanted to recreate this banjo in todays market it would cost you $6,000.
These banjos can be also be converted to an open back configuration due to the OME shoe and removable bracket band configuration. If you have been searching for an OME tenor, this is the one you want!
Thanks for taking a look!
