Baycu Fretless Piccolo Banjo S/N 2006 - This is a Baycu Walnut Neck piccolo banjo with an original eight inch Banner Blue Banjo Ukulele rim and hardware, all original and in lovely condition.
The rim is a Lange product of the 1920's with unusual lattice cladding with "windows" in the wooden rim and sixteen original shoes and brackets and nuts.
The neck is choice walnut and quality ebony throughout, with colorful abalone inlays, french polished. This is a "standard" piccolo size of ten inch neck with fifteen inch scale length with aged bone nut and pip.
If you play clawhammer like me, you will appreciate the slightly wider neck and string spacing.
Geared Ivoroid tuners for the peghead and straight Ivoroid for the 5th string. Heavy adjustable tailpiece and custom bridge and currently strung with steel strings.
These banjos are less than twenty four inches in length so they are quite tiny. What people call an "A" scale banjo is a ladies size, or ten inch rim and seventeen inch neck..... overall length around thirty three inches.
Will be shipped in a lovely well fitting hard shell case.
