VegaVox brass nuts. Many later VegaVox Banjos came with aluminum nuts on the interior rim to hold the bolts that tighten the head. These often strip when extra tension is needed to make the head taut. Also, the extra mass created by using the brass allows for a better sound. The brass nuts replace the aluminum ones without any alterations needed. The nuts are raw brass.
