I'm selling or open to trading my 11" standard scale Gibson Kraske conversion banjo.
This banjo was originally a four-string 1925 Gibson TB-4 tenor (FON 11552-21 stamped inside the rim and on the dowel rod). It has been professionally converted with a high-quality 5-string neck built by David Sheppard of Mt. Airy, NC. The peghead and heel veneer are from the original 1925 Gibson neck.
Specifications:
Scale length: 26" standard
-Pot: 11"
-Tuners: Original Grover 2-tab 4:1 tuners – they function smoothly and hold tune very well
-Bridge: Seeders 5/8” violin-style bridge
-Action: 1/8" at the 12th fret
-Strings: New light set of GHS PF150
- will ship well packaged in a cheap gig bag unless additional money paid for hard case
The banjo is in solid, ready-to-play condition. I have additional videos available upon request that clearly show the overall condition, close-up details, setup, and exactly how it sounds.
I'm only selling because I'm looking for a banjo with a more mellow tone and a scooped neck. Open to reasonable cash offers or interesting trades.
