These are the 2 point shoes made by Balsam Banjo Works, and are made from pot metal with brass plating. These are the remainder of the last batch of 270 I bought from them in early 2024. They came with these dirty looking spots you can see in the picture on many of them, and I picked out the ones that I thought were good enough to use, used some of the dirtiest for one or two banjos that were ordered with aged hardware, and these are the remainder. They are completely functional, but ugly. I assume there was some problem in the plating process, or polishing, or something. These would be okay if you want to age them, and may possibly be able to be polished clean without making holes in the plating, I don't know. I am trying to clean up my banjo parts box.
