Another down-and-back trip to Philly today to pick up the kiddo for her study-days before exams next week. The trip down was terrible; torrential rain and fog most of the way. We have a storm heading in, and the forecasters say we could see a half-inch of ice before it's done. I don't mind the cold, and I like the snow, but you can keep the ice.
When we got home tonight the kiddo saw the banjo sitting out in front of the Stove of Fury, and the briefest flash of "oy" crossed her face when she saw me pick it up to play for a bit. I think she needs a good dose of banjo over the next five days. There's a study someplace, isn't there, that says listening to a little pickin' enhances the learning process?

Yeah, I think it's called the Mose Art Effect. It must have been named after a fellow named Mose Art, I reckon.
