builders highs

Just got in from the shop where I was fitting a tone ring to a new pot for a fella that ordered a banjo from me .Went really well. Sure is nice when stuff just falls into place ,it almost makes you forget that the learning curve was an uphill curve on an icy road with bald tires.

Yeah,  it felt great when I turned my own rim to fit the tone ring and flange.  It fit just right, on the third attempt,  and sounds good, too!
Assembling the final parts to the banjo was exciting--putting together this wood and steel into something that has a beautiful voice!   A great feeling!
