Kairos music team at Mc Neill Prison for men WA

Posted by stevengaub on Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Another Kairos weekend music team. This time I am just playing bass. I will take the tenor along and if the weather is not too wet, we are in the winter monsoon season here in the shadow of mount Rainer,  we may be able to jam  outside for the breaks. We play old time western and folk songs.  Your prayers for the inmates participating in the 3 day christian retreet in a medium secure state prison will be appreciated.

Last Sunday I played in the Womans prison for an episcopal service. We had several up and moving when I used a tremalon technique on the refrain of some of the faster gosple songs.

Keep on strumming

Steven, I really enjoyed chapel services at the maximum security prison for women near here. By the end of the Kairos week-end they are charged up, singing and dancing. Jesus is the only hope for many of them and they are really committed to Him. I hope y'all have a great time this coming week-end! Ken

I go out to the women's  prison every 4th Sunday and it is always an uplifting event.  Normally  I play bass and a guitar and 5 string play with me this Sunday the 5 string was on vacation and the guitar let me lead the music with my tenor. A lot of tenor and singing fun.  Thanks for the interest. Do you play on a regular basis at the women's prison.
