I'm in love :-)

Posted by lori nitzel on Tuesday, October 7, 2008

with my sweet little baby Clover! She arrived on 9/27 at 3:34am on my bed. :) Labor was a bit of a struggle (more than I imagined it would be, at least!) but we all survived :)... and I was so happy to have been able to birth her at home with my midwife.

She was 6 pounds, 0 ounces (a wee thing!) and 20" long...full name is Clover Helene. I'm sleep-deprived (no surprise there) and changing diapers is still a bit of a mystery but I'm learning fast. :)

Soon enough we'll get a routine of some sort down and I can play her some banjo tunes. I played a decent amount while I was pregnant so hopefully she'll find it soothing rather than annoying! And maybe I can record something more now that I'm more comfortable and the big belly isn't in the way. :)

Now, how to put pics in this blog post...?

she loves her sling!

You done good Lori. The diaper goes around the middle of the baby......try it that way and you'll be alright. The little sock looking things go on the feet and remember to keep the head end up. Oh and you have to feed it too. Every day is good and when it learns to talk it'll thank you ;-)

Congratulations, Lori. Now if you thought you'd get some sleep...forget it for about 21 years. Or maybe not that soon. My youngest is 41 and I still worry about my kids.

Beautiful child. Children are certainly a blessing!

Congratulations, Lori...a beautiful, beautiful baby!  I love her name.  Glad you are all doing well.

I hope I'm not making you feel bad, but Chirps is having a jam this weekend.  Woooo-hooo!  I also hope you are getting dialed into the Colorado old-time scene.
