Just got back from winfield, the fair grounds was completely flooded so me and most of the hippies camped all week at winfield lake, the banjo contest was great all pickers where good, the highlight of the contest was when Jeff scroggins was tearing up el cumbincharo ( or how ever you spell it) in the top 5 part of the contest, he pretty much had it wrapped up for a big win till his finger pick fell off and hit the floor, Sonny Smith came in 2nd Iam not sure about the other guys, young boy won 1st playing a stealth banjer and a feller from alabama got third I wish they would move the banjo contest to sat. instead of sunday morning its hard for my to try to play with a hang over, not that it would make much difference, for those who have never been, it a must to do, oh yeal by wensday the walnut river finally went down and they where able to have the festival they just had no camping there, stll a great time, also got to me a great banjo picker Zack dainels, hes on the back page of the news issue of banjo newsletter, he crazy allsome
