Thank you for the update, Fred. Glad you fared well. We have been and will continue to pray for the folks down along the coast whose lives were disrupted so badly by this storm. I have a cousin in Houston who rode the storm out with his family. He had a 30' sailing boat docked at Freeport. Authorities would not let him down there retrieve it prior to the storm's landfall, so it's lost. No insurance, either. Sad, but I'd rather lose a boat than a family member! They made it through the storm OK.
Best regards,
Rob

Thanks Rob, it appears that, for the most part the tragady on the Gulf Coast has been superseded by economic headlines. There are thousands of folks whose lives have been changed long term by IKE. Many in my county are still without power and I was fortunate that I am inland and east of the landfall site. We had estimated winds in the 80 mph range and no flooding. My heart aches for those in the Port Bolivar and Galveston areas.

Hi Fred-
Been thinking of you. Glad to hear that things with Ike went reasonably well for you.
Hope things go well with the cleanup.
Regards,
ED
